What are some family traditions that you enjoyed when you were younger, and how can you practice them today? My family always spent holidays together. We always had Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving day. On Christmas my family would get together on Christmas Eve. As our family got bigger and with people's work schedules we had to start scheduling our Christmas get together a little earlier and on Saturdays.  My grandmother past away two years ago but as a family we are striving to keep the family traditions the same. For more than 60 years Hickory Farms gifts have been a classic holiday tradition that brings family and friends together. I always love stopping by Hickory Farms and picking up some cheese balls to take to our family holiday events. Many Americans have a distinct memory of Hickory Farms at their holiday gatherings; Hickory Farms is very proud to be a part of those nostalgic moments and continues to focus on and celebrate its long heritage of tradition and authentic holiday … [Read more...]

quikword 20058_088

Disclaimer: I was offered a cool umbrella for sharing about Qwikword. A bit about Qwikword:   A bit about Qwikword: Qwikword was designed to be a new kind of social media platform that goes beyond clicking a “like” button. The premise of the platform is for a user to react to visual stimuli, called ‘sparks’, and enter the first word that instantaneously comes to mind. Qwikword builds stronger connections by sharing similarities throughout a global community on a deeper, emotional level. The initial thought, the intuitive reaction, and the international user base, engages a new and interactive type of social community. Founded in 2013 by Italian entrepreneurs, Qwikword is privately held and is headquartered in New York City. How it works: It is called Qwikword and it is just that! The user is given visual stimuli; they call them “sparks”, and is prompted to write down the first word that pops into his/her mind. If you want to be the first to share your reaction … [Read more...]

sep_famnight_landing

Disclaimer: I was sent 4 guest passes and some coloring markers for sharing about Ryan's HomeTown Buffet and Old Country Buffet .  Ryan's, HomeTown Buffet and Old Country Buffet  brings joy and fun to their family nights every Thursday night from 5 to 8 pm, where kids eat for just 99 cents or $1.99 (with purchase of an adult meal). While this month the restaurants are offering their Foto Fun booth, a box of silly props where kids can dress up and pose in the photo booth while parents snap pictures on their smartphones, last month, they partnered with classic brand Crayola. My husband and I  love visiting Ryan's  buffets . We have never been to the Ryan's in Summerville, SC before. We used to visit the Ryan's in Georgetown. They have since closed that restaurant. My dad eats Ryan's a good bit because he has been working out of town a lot. He once even had a couple a head of him and they paid for his meal. He was in shock. He had never heard of the "Pay It Forward". He tried going … [Read more...]

snoozer outlast

Disclaimer: I was sent a pet bed for review. My views and your views may vary. No other compensation was provided.   Snoozer is a South Carolina based American owned and operated company.  I have two Labradors, Bailey and Molly. Molly is seven years old and Bailey just turned a year old. Molly used to be crated but the older she got the less worried I was about her roaming the house . Bailey is still crated until she gets a little older. I do not think she is ready to have full roaming capabilities in the house just yet. Molly, would normally sleep on the floor beside the bed. I was not real sure if she would actually sleep on the dog bed. She has slept on the Snoozer Outlast bed since the first night the bed arrived. The picture above is Bailey checking out the bed. I have noticed several times that Molly would be in her bed before my husband and I went to bed. She sleeps so hard that she will drool. The Snoozer Outlast bed has three features that make this one of the … [Read more...]

airplant

Disclaimer: I was sent some Air Plants for a review. My views and your views may vary. No other compensation was provided. I love plants but I always seem to have trouble keeping them alive. These Air Plants are simple to keep alive. They do not require soil. I think this is wonderful. All you need to do is soak them 20 to 30 minutes twice a week.  Once you have soaked your plants let the dry completely before you put them in a container. These plants need lighting but not direct sunlight. How simple is that? I love the beautiful handpicked plants. I received the Abdita, Ionantha Hybrid, Victoriana, and the Xerographica. The plants get their nutrients from air. The Air Plant collections are from South America, Central America, and Mexico.  Your plants will grow, bloom and reproduce "pups". You can keep growing or you can separate them when they are 1/3 to 1/2 the size of the parent. Air Plants make a unique gift giving idea. I personally know I have some very hard to buy … [Read more...]
