I love the beach , the sand, the ocean waves and the smell of the sea breeze. I live approximately 2 hours from Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach is a great place to visit for a quick weekend getaway. I stayed at the Crown Reef this past weekend. My family and I arrived exactly 4 PM on Friday. I will be honest, the resort is huge and you can quickly get turned around and get lost. It did not take us long to figure out where we needed to go though. With Tower 1, 2, and 3 see how one can get lost. You can not necessarily go from one place to the next by one elevator. So yes, I was hoping elevators until I realized what I was doing.

My room was very clean, I had full size appliances in my room. I did not cook in my room but if I wanted to make a meal I would have been able to whip something together without a problem. At the Crown Reef Resort, if you did not want to leave the property you don’t have to go anywhere. You can go to the Grab N’ Go for a breakfast, and premium coffee. They also have a grill open throughout the day. You also have Loco Gecko beach shak that has a full service bar, burgers and wings, and so much more. You can also get a special ice cream treat at the Swirl Ice Cream & Sweet Shop. I had dippin’ dots. To get the dippin’ dots is a special treat because I can not buy them in my town.

If you love playing games you can visit the game center right on site of the Crown Reef Resort.

You also do not have to go anywhere to play in a water park. The crown Reef Resort has a new 38 foot tall,302 foot long twister water slide. They also have a 38 foot tall,278 foot long explosion tube water slide, along with a 8 foot tall kiddie water slide. You also have a lazy river and a lot of pools to swim in. They also have a pool side bar to grab a refreshing drink.

All of the 514 ocean front rooms are newly renovated. The rooms have new head boards, lamps, desk, and other room furnishings. I did notice our room did not have any pictures on the wall. I am sure that the rooms will get pictures eventually. All the rooms have brand new mattresses, bedspreads, new flat screen televisions. All the counters have granite counter tops, new cabinets and appliances. The walls have fresh paint and new mirrors in the bathrooms.

The Crown Reef Resort is located at the beginning of the strand. This is wonderful due to not having to drive up and down the strand looking for your hotel/resort. If you did not want to get in bumper to bumper traffic you are in luck. You don’t have a issue at this resort at all. Well, depending if there is something going on but in most cases you will not have a problem whats so ever getting to the resort.

You are centrally located to everything at the beach. You must go and check out Broadway at the Beach. I could just walk around for hours upon hours. I always make sure I visit a seafood restaurant for crab legs when I am at the beach. No where in my home town has all you can eat crab legs.

As you have already gathered by my review Crown Reef Resort has been lots of renovations. Everything is not completed yet. I really only had two issues. One is the parking garage is not marked to get to the upper levels. I was also unable to use the wifi and my computer would not log in at all. As a blogger I need to get online. I was told that Tower 3 has internet and I was in Tower 2. However, it was really nice to take a break from social media for a weekend. There are still some cosmetic issues such as the elevators. They also are a little slow and need some repair.

All in all, my family and I had a great time visiting the Crown Reef Resort and Myrtle Beach. The staff was super helpful to any of our request.

One more thing I would like to mention: The Crown Reef Resort is a great place for meetings, events, and weddings.

Oh and another thing, right down at the ocean you can sign up to para sail,  ride on a banana boat behind a jet ski. There is so many fun activities right out side the resort. Make sure to check them all out.
