My Coupon Needs And Your Coupon Needs

saving

In my house hold it is just three of us. I do not need 100 of anything at any given time. I do not need a basement filled from the floor up. I have a very limited area to stockpile and my husband just built my new shelf this year. I have always managed with what I have to use. I do not want to have a kitchen overflow of products. If it does not fit I do not need it right now.  I do not stockpile much on food. I will stockpile shampoo, razors, detergents and toilet paper. The items I stockpile I do not worry about ever expiring. Sales do come in cycles and so do coupons.

I was asked ” How am I going to coupon if I don’t have anywhere to put anything”?

I have a laundry room, I fill up the shelves when needed, I have a full size bathroom with plenty of room. I also  have ,one nice large shelf my husband built. My kitchen does not have a lot of cabinets and very little storage room.

My coupon needs and your coupon needs could be totally different. I may or may not like all the products you buy and you may or may not like what I buy. You may only eat  Organic foods, you may not eat processed foods. Just because my needs and your needs are different does not mean I can not coupon. I sure can use toilet paper, detergent and other products.

Some of you may have a much larger family than I do. I only have three of us in my house. Some of you may not have a pet and I have about 15 dogs I feed each week. We all have different needs when it comes to coupon shopping. If something is free and I will not use it I will not buy it unless it would be a great donation item.

So, just because I do not have a basement does not mean I can not coupon shop. I shop wisely and I also do not shop every single week. I plan to shop hard for the next 6 months and I plan to take a break. The sales will come again and a again. Saving money is what couponing is all about. I still need to work on my stockpile. I have plenty of items that I still need and will watch for these sales real closely. I may have a slight hoarding problem with laundry detergent as it is. I love getting a great deal.

I took about two years off from couponing. I vowed to start this year off with a bang and I am doing just what I intended to do. I work a full time job. I am out in the country and do not pass but a few gas stations on my way to work. I do not go every afternoon to town to grab a deal.

Every family is different and has different needs, but we all want the same thing… to save money. If your happy with your stockpile (no matter how big or small it is) and youve saved money with it then thats all that matters.

  2. I need to learn to coupon better and get started on a stockpile. I have tried before and it takes so much time but is so worth the savings.

  3. I am in the same boat you are in, mostly. My coupon needs are for household items mostly. I also live outside the city so couponing is not always an option.

  4. Every family is different, but I am like you in that I mainly stock up on toiletries and things that I will use. I did not shop for laundry detergent for over a year because I had enough to last. Keep doing what you’re doing and save your family money.

  5. Definitely agree! I have a family of 6 but we don’t have the stores that have the double/triple coupon deals so I don’t have huge stockpiles. It’s harder for me to coupon and build my stockpile. I had started and got a stockpile going of things we NEED..but alas it’s dwindling so I could use to get it built back up again. It’s a lot of work though and daunting for me.

  6. I don’t do a lot of coupon shopping, mostly because I don’t know how and it seems overwhelming to learn. I do try to pice match as much as possible though!

  7. Couponing for me comes in waves. Usually when I get a nice stockpile, then I stop shopping for awhile. When it starts dwindling then I’ll get a fire lit under me again! You’re right though, everyone’s needs are different.
